On December 8, please join us for the seventh annual Innis College Refugee Student Fund Benefit Concert, featuring dance and musical performances by students, staff, and alumni of Innis College.
All proceeds from this event directly support resettled refugees in their upper years of study at Innis College. A donation to the Innis College Refugee Student Fund is encouraged (suggested minimum of $25).
If you are a current Innis College or U of T student looking to attend or support your classmates, a donation is not required.
Innis College’s WUSC Committee works closely with the Canadian non-profit organization, World University Service of Canada (WUSC), to sponsor a refugee student to attend Innis College each year. These students are provided financial, academic, and social support, helping them adapt to Canadian society. WUSC sponsorship lasts for one year, so funds from the Refugee Student Benefit Concert are used to support students in their upper years of study.
WUSC is a Canadian non-profit organization working to create a better world for all young people. It brings together a diverse network of students, volunteers, schools, governments, and businesses who share this vision. Together, they foster youth-centered solutions for improved education, economic, and empowerment opportunities to overcome inequality and exclusion in over 15 countries across Asia, Africa, and the Americas.
