Vulnerable Communities and Climate Justice: A Roundtable
Marginalized communities bear the greatest burden of climate change—yet they are leading the fight for justice and equity. This roundtable will bring together scholars and activists to examine the systemic inequalities that shape climate impacts and discuss pathways for an inclusive, just transition.
Panelists include:
  • Angele Alook (York University), Bigstone Cree Nation member and researcher on Alberta’s oil and gas economy.
  • Geoff Dembicki (Investigative Journalist), author of The Petroleum Papers.
  • Matt Huber (Syracuse University), author of Climate Change as Class War.
  • Zamani Ra (Founder, CEED), Toronto-based activist and Black Environmentalist Alliance member.
