Winter Social Innovation Certificate Registration

February 12
 - March 6

Make an impact and contribute to positive change!

Innis College, in partnership with The Agency, is excited to announce that registration is now open for our annual Social Innovation Certificate program!

Have you ever wondered how you can make an impact on the world and contribute to positive change in society? Does the term “social innovation” sound too abstract? Are you unsure what your first step could be? We are here to help! Innis College, in partnership with The Agency, is excited to present the Social Innovation Certificate program.

Through a series of three sessions, this program will help students better understand social innovation. Students will hear stories from change-makers in their community and will build connections to help them introduce social innovation concepts into their studies, extracurricular activities, and career opportunities.

The program consists of three sessions offered throughout the Winter term:

Social Impact 101 • Wednesday, February 12 • 1-3pm

Through this interactive seminar, students will learn the key concepts and language of social innovation, gain an understanding of where it’s happening and how you can begin to get involved with it, and develop their personal Social Innovation Roadmap.

Road Trip • Monday, March 6 • time TBD

During our Road Trip, students will meet change-makers (both on and off campus), discover what a day in the life of a social innovator is like, and actively engage with the work that these organizations do.

Careers with Purpose • Thursday, February 27 • 6-8pm

During our Living Library, students will meet real change-makers, build connections, and hear from their experiences as social innovators and entrepreneurs.

This program is intended for all students interested in social innovation, regardless of program or year of study. To register or for more information on the offered dates/times of each session, please click here. Students who attend and complete all three sessions will receive recognition on their Co-Curricular Record.
