Description
Inspired by the recent Iranian women’s movement against oppression, the Women, Life, Freedom Film Festival, organized by the Association of Iranian Film and Theatre Artists Abroad, is a global showcase of creative works promoting freedom of expression, gender equality, and liberation. The Toronto premiere will highlight the best films from the festival, followed by a thought-provoking panel discussion with industry experts. This is a unique opportunity to engage with filmmakers, activists, and the community on a night dedicated to amplifying marginalized voices. We’re honoured to have Godfrey Cheshire as this year’s jury president, joined by: Hayedeh Safiyari (Sweden), John Greyson (Canada), Anne Démy-Geroe (Australia), Babak Payami (Canada), Katayoun Riahi (Iran), Roya Sadat (USA)
