TJFF presents: Come Closer

June 12
 @ 7:30 pm
 - 10:00 pm

One of Variety magazine’s 2025 directors to watch, Tom Nesher’s debut film marks a bold new voice in Israeli cinema. The daughter of acclaimed filmmaker Avi Nesher, Tom proves to be an accomplished writer/director in her right with this semi-autobiographical drama that offers a poignant exploration of love, loss and resilience. Consumed by grief after her brother dies, Eden uncovers Maya, his secret girlfriend, and insinuates herself into her life with unexpected results. Lia Elalouf and Darya Rosen are riveting as Eden and Maya respectively in this landmark Israeli film that was nominated for 12 Ophir awards (winning best film and best director) and was Israel’s submission to the Oscars.
