Bodies in Crisis, a new film by Chilean director Maria Teresa Larrain, with discussion and Q&A after.
In this documentary, the director follows five activists through the constitutional process that took place in Chile between 2020 and 2021. Members of the Constituent Convention -including three powerful indigenous women- complement the narrative, and people in the streets document the process with harrowing images that will never appear in the official press.
Having just initiated its Festivals Circuit, Bodies in Crisis was recognized with two laurels at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival: Best Diaspora Film Award and a nomination to the Best Canadian Film Award.
The screening will be followed by a dialogue with the director.
