One Minute More Book Launch

On February 27, best-selling author, lawyer, and alumnus Robert Rotenberg (BA ’75 Innis) will launch his new novel, One Minute More — the action-thriller prequel to his bestselling novels, What We Buried and Downfall.

From 6-7pm, a pre-reception with light refreshments will take place in the College lobby to celebrate the launch of One Minute More. At 7pm, writer and communications consultant Bob Ramsay will interview Robert in Innis Town Hall.

Copies of One Minute More (2025) will be available for purchase on-site. Copies of Bob’s novel, Love or Die Trying (2021) will also be available for purchase.

Robert Rotenberg is the author of several bestselling novels, including Old City Hall, The Guilty Plea, Stray Bullets, Stranglehold, Heart of the City, Downfall, and What We Buried. Bob Ramsay is the president of Ramsay Inc., a Toronto communications and marketing firm. Bob was born in Edmonton, Alberta, and graduated from Princeton with a BA in English and from Harvard with a diploma in publishing. He’s been a speechwriter for Ontario Premier Bill Davis and for countless CEOs and corporate leaders, and he contributes opinion pieces on diversity, the arts, and bicycling—for The Globe and Mail, the Toronto Star and Macleans. Since the pandemic, he has written a blog called RamsayWrites. For 40 years, he has also organized the speakers’ series, RamsayTalks, which presents some of the leading figures of the age, from Jodi Kantor and Niall Ferguson, to Eric Schmidt, Sanjay Gupta, Mark Carney, Minouche Shafik, and Susan Rice. He also teaches writing and persuasion to large financial institutions, a Canadian pension fund and its global offices, an international architecture firm, a world-renowned medical research and care facility, several not-for-profits, and a large performing arts group.

In addition, he is deeply involved with the community. For many years, he was the fundraising chair on the board of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and an executive board member of the Canadian Film Centre. He has also served on the boards of the St. Lawrence Centre, the Women’s College Hospital Foundation, and the International Festival of Authors, which he also chaired.

He was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Medal in 2015 and the Bernier Medal from the Royal Canadian Geographic Society in 2017. He is also a member of The Explorers Club in New York. In September 2019, Bob and his wife, Dr. Jean Marmoreo, circumnavigated Manhattan by kayak.
