Mobilizing Campus Communities for Change!
Out@Innis, in partnership with LGBTOUT, invite all U of T students to register for a free, collaborative, three-hour workshop, “Queer Advocacy in Action: Mobilizing Campus Communities for Change.” Build your advocacy skills, political literacy, and organizing capacity among queer and allied students at U of T.
2–5pm (lunch served from 2–2:30pm)

This will be a unified space for college- and campus-level queer organizations to learn, collaborate, and begin identifying shared advocacy priorities. With educational materials provided by the Manitoba Association for Rights and Liberties (MARL) the workshop aims to meaningfully strengthen queer leadership and collective power on campus. The session will be facilitated by Landon Sanderson, a MARL-certified facilitator and executive member of Out@Innis and LGBTOUT.
The session will kick off with a free lunch and welcoming remarks by Principal Charlie Keil. The workshop will be segmented into three parts:
- “Knowing Your Rights: Queer Advocacy in Workplaces and Schools”
- “Digital Pride: Queer Advocacy in the Online World”
- “Changing the System: Queer Political and Institutional Advocacy”

Out@Innis is a 2SLGBTQIA+ group formed in 2024 by students and staff at Innis College. Seeking to make our college an even more welcoming and inclusive place, they host community-building events, spotlight opportunities and supports, advocate for our 2SLGBTQIA+ peers, and much more.
