Angie Fazekas (they/them) is an assistant professor at the Women and Gender Studies Institute at the University of Toronto. Their research interests are queer adolescent online engagement and behavior, social media, sex education, and popular culture. In their current research, they consider how queer and trans teenage fans interact with fanfiction as a mechanism for exploring their sexuality, identity, and desires. Their publications include a co-authored chapter in Final Girls, Feminism, and Popular Culture and a chapter in Fandom, Now in Color.

In 2024, a group of students and staff came together to form Out@Innis with a shared mission to:
- Foster sense of belonging among 2SLGBTQ+ community members at Innis College.
- Bring visibility to 2SLGBTQ+-supporting resources and opportunities at Innis College and U of T.
- Tell inspiring stories of 2SLGBTQ+ journeys within the college and university communities.
- Advocate for equitable access to all aspects of an Innis College and U of T learning experience for 2SLGBTQ+ communities.
