And that can be a little intimidating if you don’t feel prepared, or just need to brush up on note taking or study habits. At Innis we have a range of learning supports to help you figure out and achieve your academic goals.
The Innis learning strategists can help with academic challenges
Our learning strategists works with you to identify your learning challenges, strengths, and goals — and supports you to find strategies that suit your needs:

- Retaining and recalling course content
- Setting manageable goals throughout the week

Join a co-working session, ASAP!
Innis’s weekly co-working group, Association for Students Against Procrastination (ASAP), is back on Monday and Friday afternoons during the Summer term — in person and online. Hosted by an academic peer mentor, ASAP offers you structure and accountability to get your work done.
Drop in for quick, online learning strategy support
Join Meghan at a virtual drop-in learning strategy session to address your quick (i.e., 10-15-minute) or urgent concerns. Meghan is on Zoom from 3:30–4:30pm ET every Wednesday. Design a study plan, go over revision strategies, improve your motivation, and more! Appointments are first come, first served. When you’re ready, drop in using this Zoom link.

Improve your writing skills at the Innis Writing Centre
The Innis Writing Centre can help you to improve your writing and editing, as well as planning, organizing, and research skills. Sessions are free, one-to-one, and are given by experienced, supportive instructors. Book an appointment, and bring your assignment with you. This could be a grade-changer!
Get help with research and citation skills
If you’ve just received an assignment, and aren’t sure where to begin finding your references and sources, then a personal research consultation with Kate Johnson, Innis librarian, could be exactly what you need. Your appointment will cover topics such as conducting searches, navigating the library system, and proper citation.
