Carmen Logie co-chairs the Canadian Association for HIV Research Conference

Faculty of Social Work Professor Carmen Logie (BA ’97 Innis, PhD ’10), speaks to CBC Radio about persistent stigma around sexual health in Canada, especially within marginalized communities and people living with HIV.

Carmen is the Canada Research Chair in Global Health Equity and Social Justice with Marginalized Populations and recent co-chair of the Canadian Association for HIV Research Conference.

On March 20, Carmen returned to the College to deliver the 2024 Innis Alumni Lecture, titled “More than clouds and condoms: Connecting climate change and sexual health.” Carmen discussed drought, flooding, extreme heat, and hunger and their unlikely connections to sexual health.
