Congratulations to Professor Emeritus Peter H. Russell, Innis’s second principal and long-time supporter, on being promoted to Companion of the Order of Canada.
One of Canada’s most celebrated political scientists, Peter has been published widely, and has served as president of the Canadian Political Science Association and founding president of the College and University Associations of Canada. He has written several award-winning books, his most recent is Sovereignty: The Biography of a Claim (U of T Press, 2021).
