Urban Studies’ David Roberts receives A&S Outstanding Teaching Award

Congratulations, David!

David Roberts, Urban Studies Program director and associate professor – teaching stream, is the recipient of an Outstanding Teaching Award from the Faculty of Arts & Science.

This award recognizes teaching excellence, focusing on instructional practices, course design, and curriculum development.

David’s impact is felt at all levels: across the city, within the faculty, and by countless individual students — who know him as an approachable, supportive instructor, committed to equity and community building.

David has been the driving force behind many innovative learning experiences that bring together Urban Studies students and community partners, including City Hall.

Outside of the classroom, David is a Centre for Community Partnerships Senior Fellow and long-time advisor to the University’s Access and Inclusion Peer Program, which supports historically marginalized student communities.
